Hike to Box Canyon 1/9/10

We went hiking to Box Canyon N. of Ft. Thomas yesterday with Terrel Taylor as our guide.  Brenda and Tom Blake joined us.  It was a beautiful day perfect for a hike!  Does this cactus have enough arms do you think?

Cool arch!

Goldie went after this cow but the cow started charging her and she changed her mind!  It was pretty funny.  Tom tried to feed the cow an apple but this cow wasn't too trusting.

Last night Don make this concoction that sounded pretty gross to me but he likes it.  Graham crackers with applesauce over it and cream or milk poured over it all.  But after I thought about it I was reminded of something my danish mother-in-law used to make.  She would brown bread crumbs in butter and put applesauce over that with half/half on top and some danish dessert poured on top.  It must be a European thing?  Anyone else eat anything simliar?

Last night when we were kneeling for prayers Don grabbed my robe off the bed saying he needed a prayer robe to keep him warm while we were praying.  We go back and forth over the proper temperature of a bedroom.  He prefers the high 60's and I prefer low 50's with the window wide open.  I thought this picture was too funny!

Fred loves to eat applesauce on a layer of graham crackers but he likes to top it with whipped cream (he gets lite Koolwhip now). It must be a real dish up in Utah and Idaho.
