This shot is some amazing Indian ruins up Turkey Creek by Aravaipa. We loved this trip because unlike Aravaipa (which is in the same area) we could ride our quad and see lots of country and not need a permit. Turkey creek was so fun and if you have an ATV this is a great place to go!
These pix are so out of order due to the new way you have to add pix but this is a snake we saw today on a hike above Ft. Grant to Soldier Creek. My dog, Goldie, was bit by a rattler yesterday and seemed better this am so we left her home and went hiking again since our hike yesterday was cut short by her getting bit. Anyway, I was telling Don on our hike today I would hate to get bit at this particular place because we were so far away from getting help. Just then this snake started moving by my foot and scared the jeemies out of me! It wasn't a rattler. Any guesses what it was?
We have seen tons of wild flowers on our outings this spring and I wish I knew the names of all of them? If you can identify any of these flowers please tell me!
Poor Goldie about an hour after she was bit by the rattler. We had to hike at least an hr to the quad then ride it down to the car taking over an hr. She was pretty miserable yesterday but better today.
Turkey Creek again. I would love to camp here except to get to the campground you need a small 4 wh drive as the road is horrendous.
