Ash Creek hike 7-24-10

My bucket list item 'hike Ash Creek' can now be crossed off. Don and I hiked it yesterday with cousin Stephen's daughter, Cami and her husband David Fish, son Josh and her father in law and Ryan's daughter Maddy. It was really hard but so very beautiful. It has to be the most beautiful hike in AZ. I wish I had gotten a group photo of those that went.
1st pix is trailhead above Cluff Ponds in Pima.  I love first light of day!  We got up at 3 to leave at 4:15 to park the car with quad at 5 and reach the trail head a little before 6!  It took us 7.5 hrs to hike up which is nothing to brag about except that we did make it!  There are no pix past slick rock as it started pouring on us so my camera was put away. It is now a fun memory.

That looks like quite the hike. There are so many wonderful hikes right here by us, one of the reasons I am loving UT.

I admire you and all your hikes. I love to hike also, but Fred's hiking days are over. Age does get to us sometimes.
