Hannigan Meadow overnighter

I get maybe 2 Monday's off a month so once again I left my 'to do list' list and we headed up to Hannigan Meadow on Coronado trail -one of our favorite places to ride the bike.  It is so drop dead gorgeous up there right now with the rains.  After dinner and after the sunset Mon. we rode to Alpine and saw dozens of Elk in various places.  It was so fun to be a little cold!  We got soaked coming home Tue. but it cooled us off for that last hour ride from Morenci.
The Hannigan Meadow lodge has so much history and character.  These stools were pretty cool in the restaurant I thought!
We walked down this road that had tons of butterflies!  Most were this color but there were others as well.  I remembered as a child catching them in a butterfly net but you don't see many of them any more.
We came to his meadow on a hike to Aker lake.  So pretty up there!
