We have been eating these veggie sandwiches on our outings lately - even when we hike - and they taste so good! It was so pretty I had to take a pix before I put it together and ate it!
What a gourmet meal by a nice creek! People pay big money for this kind of food and atmosphere!
We saw these 3 antelope on the drive there. It reminded me of the song my dad would sing in the car when we were little "and the deer and the antelope play . . ." What a fun memory that is - my dad singing those old songs like "she'll be comin' round the mountain when she comes." It made me think what a wonderful childhood I had and how safe, secure and happy I felt in the car singing along with dad on road trips. DVD's in the car just aren't the same!
I have always wanted to come here since Cathy Konopnicki came here to work in the school about 20 yrs ago! She made it sound so fun. We found the best place for a picnic. Cathy~ you would have been proud!
These flowers growing partway out in the creek intriqued me.

This was our gorgeous picnic spot. The temp was just perfect and the birds were mighty happy.
