Mesa for a few days

I just returned from Mesa for a few days but forgot my camera. The purpose of my trip was to be there when my brother had surgery on a heart valve. It all went well and he is now out of ICU. He credits Ray Tuttle for detecting a problem and referring him to a cardiologist. I was very impressed with the hospital Scottsdale Shea. All the staff were very nice and helpful.

My oldest grandchild, Megan, turns 10 tomorrow so I took her on a little "birthday date" today. I let her choose what she wanted to do and bless her heart she chose to go to the visitors center. She got into a dress and we just had a special morning. We walked around looking at the pretty plants and flowers and talked about the Temple. We watched the movie "The Testaments" which is always a wonderful movie to see. She spent some time at the Jeruselum exhibit seeing where everything took place. She enjoyed seeing the Friberg picture exhibit and asked a lot of meaningful questions. She enjoyed seeing all the Book of Mormons in different languages. We then went to lunch at Nielsens Custard. I enjoy spending time with the grandkids especially one on one when you can really talk to them. Megan is such a special little gal. She has a very kind heart especially if one of her brothers or cousins gets hurt or needs something. I feel very blessed to have her be my granddaughter!

Don is in UT helping Susie and Allan redo their kitchen and work on his rentals. He will then drive down a rental moving van for Jme and Mark who are moving to Tucson. We are excited to have them closer.

I am excited to have Mary and kids here for a few days this week!
