Fun times with Carson

I have enjoyed having Caron here this week (Stacie's youngest).  He is five and is a fun kid to be around.  He is quite energetic (to say the least) so we were on the go alot.  He also enjoyed lady bug saddle hike and the bugs did not dissappoint him.  I really enjoy spending some time with grandkids one on one and get to know them better.

Kids love finding the 'treasure' the geo cache box at Lady Bug Saddle lookout.
This first pix was about the place on the trail where he was walking too close to the edge and he slipped down a few feet.  I was a few feet ahead of him on the trail so it probably seemed like a long time before I reached him.  When he got back up onto the trail he was a bit perturbed and said "this was seriously an emergency - why didn't you reach me sooner?"  He says some pretty funny things I have tried to remember.  The next pix  is actually on a little trail going up from Wet Canyon.  He felt pretty adventuresome and loved being the leader.
We waded down the creek at wet canyon and walked under the bridge which he thought was pretty cool.
Of course, there is always work to do at our house and he worked on and off picking up leaves and filled these trash barrels.  I rewarded him with a .50 snow cone and he was thrilled!  He finally got the last of these leaves picked up yesterday.  Having Kamala here makes it nice for me to keep a grandchild since I work on M, W, and F's.  He has been very good to play in the morning when he wakes early and not wake her up at the crack of dawn.  He really cracks me up when he says things.  When I put my swim suit on to go swimming with him he saw me coming down the hall and said "that is adorable!"  I didn't feel very adorable but he made me laugh :).
